Directions to our San Francisco Headquarters
The LightHouse building is located at 1155 Market St. in the heart of downtown San Francisco, directly above the Civic Center BART and Muni stop. Muni surface busses, including the F trolley, drop off near our location. Closest bus stops are at the corners of Market & Hyde St or Market & 7th Street.
Finding us from Civic Center Station
The LightHouse is located on the south side of Market St., in the middle of the block between 7th and 8th streets.
When emerging from Civic Center Station, take the B3 exit for the 1100 block of Market Street (middle of the station) and you will find the LightHouse about fifteen steps in front of the station staircase.
If you would prefer to use an escalator, go to the U.N. Plaza exit. When you come out, you’ll need to cross Market Street.
Those using an elevator from Civic Center Station should take the elevator which has an attendant employed by BART on the north side of Market between 7th and 8th and then use the pedestrian-activated mid-block crossing behind the elevator which ends directly in front of our building.
Drop off by rideshare services, taxi or Paratransit
The best drop-off location for Uber, Lyft, Paratransit and other vehicles, is our back door at 155 Stevenson. Once in the alley off of 7th Street, the LightHouse building is the last building on the right marked with an illuminated LightHouse sign. For drivers, the back alley has recently been renamed Odd Fellows Way. A pair of doors can be found just below the LightHouse sign. For blind visitors, you can tell you are at the right door when you find the keypad to the right of the door. Enter a code to the right of the doors for entry. Press #000 to call the security desk, wait for the buzzer and enter the building.
Please note: Uber and Lyft drop-off is restricted on Market between 3rd and 8th Streets.
Parking near our headquarters
Because of our unbeatable proximity to public transit, we encourage most of our visitors to take advantage of this and leave their cars at home. If you need to drive, though, there are many paid parking options in the area. They include:
- SOMA Grand Garage at 1160 Mission Street
- 1455 Market Street Garage
- Civic Center Garage at 355 McAllister Street
I’m in the building, now what?
Once inside our building, check in with security and they will direct you to the 10th floor. On the 10th Floor, exit the elevators and you will be greeted by a receptionist. The building has 24-hour security and if you arrive after 6 p.m., a guard will have to let you in the front door. When community events are scheduled, someone will be prepared to receive guests.
